About this role

Accountabilities: • Own sales of storage products and solutions across an assigned territory, industry, or portfolio of accounts, with a focus on developing new business and expanding existing relationships.

• Proactively identify opportunities through prospecting, industry networking, events, customer engagement, and account-based business development.

• Develop pursuit strategies and build, manage, and maintain a healthy storage sales pipeline.

• Lead opportunities through qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and successful deal closure.

• Partner closely with Account Managers by providing specialized storage expertise and participating in complex customer engagements, including interactions with C-level stakeholders where appropriate.

• Coordinate supporting sales activities across account managers, presales teams, channel partners, and other stakeholders to maintain pipeline quality and momentum.

• Collaborate across internal teams to develop consistent account strategies and position end-to-end solutions aligned with customer needs.

• Assess opportunities from both technical and business perspectives to determine feasibility and prioritize the most valuable pursuits.

• Negotiate profitable agreements while identifying opportunities to expand customer footprints, increase storage revenue, and grow long-term account value.

• Work closely with channel partners to strengthen relationships, enable key technologies, and co-sell storage solutions to end customers.

• Lead and support storage-focused marketing campaigns, including digital and emerging approaches, ensuring alignment with account strategies and sustained campaign momentum.

• Act as a trusted storage solutions consultant, helping customers understand complex technologies and connecting technical capabilities to business priorities.

• Communicate the broader storage portfolio and solution strategy to partners and customer champions to uncover new contacts, opportunities, and potential new accounts.

• Use customer references and relevant use cases to simplify complex technology concepts and create compelling customer narratives.

• Understand customer buying trends and demonstrate the business and financial value of proposed solutions, including ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or university degree preferred.

• Typically 8+ years of sales experience , with a demonstrated history of progressively increasing sales quota achievement.

• Proven experience selling storage-related products, solutions, or technologies is required.

• Demonstrated success hunting for new business and uncovering opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.

• Experience working with diverse business customers and navigating complex sales environments.

• Strong ability to combine technical understanding with commercial and business-oriented selling.

• Excellent prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior and C-level customer contacts.

• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across account teams, technical specialists, channel partners, and other stakeholders.

• Ability to translate complex technology into clear customer value propositions and articulate ROI and TCO benefits.

• Strong initiative, leadership, and ownership, with the ability to drive opportunities from initial prospecting through closure.
