About this role

About Musixmatch: Musixmatch is the leading music metadata company, featuring the world’s largest lyrics catalog and a community of over 80M contributors. Musixmatch is the trusted global partner of companies like Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, Meta, Google, MTV, Shazam, Vevo, Tidal and Snapchat, and partners with more than 100,000 music publishers including Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing, Warner Chappell, Kobalt, BMG Rights and the Harry Fox Agency. We are a bunch of creatives who care about our work and what we do. We believe participation and collaboration are key to getting things done well. We are looking for tech-savvy people who are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, who have an international outlook, and who love taking on new challenges.

Position:We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, based on the West Coast or East Coast of the US (Remote), to take a pivotal role in our Financial Analysis and Reporting team. The team is expected to grow alongside the business; this role will work alongside other Financial Analysts and report to the CFO. The team’s core mission is to support the decision-making of our leadership team. You will be a trusted partner to the CFO and leadership on strategic projects, including M&A and investor relations, and you will own the quality of the financial and industry standard reporting that goes to our leadership, Board and investors. You will also drive improvements to the company’s financial processes and systems, and co-lead the financial planning and performance tracking of Musixmatch. As our finance lead in the US, you will work closely with colleagues across Europe.

What you will do:Lead M&A and corporate development workstreams: target screening, valuation and deal modeling, financial due diligence, and coordination with external advisors. Support post-deal integration, including synergy tracking, harmonization of reporting, and onboarding acquired businesses into our planning and reporting cycle. Prepare investor-facing materials: monthly and quarterly investor reporting, Board packs, management presentations, and responses to shareholder and lender requests. Own the annual budget and periodic forecasts, building and maintaining the company’s financial models and running scenario analysis for leadership. Implement AI-assisted tools and automated workflows to elevate FP&A, driver-based forecasting, predictive modeling, and executive reporting beyond traditional spreadsheet/slide setups. Define and monitor the KPIs used to track business performance, and turn the data into clear insights and recommendations for the leadership team. Lead the preparation of internal financial and royalty periodic reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness. Oversee the reporting, accounting and distribution of royalties, interpreting licensing agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, including the US licensing landscape (MLC, PROs, CRB rates). Lead strategic analyses such as benchmarking, competitor and market analysis, pricing and profitability studies. Identify critical business issues and design intervention strategies with the relevant stakeholders. Drive improvements to financial processes, systems and tools within the team’s remit. Partner with the Accounting team on month-end and year-end close, audits and cross-functional projects.

Requirements:Degree in finance, economics, management engineering, accounting or equivalent; MBA, CFA or CPA is a plus. 6+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, FP&A, ideally with a focus on technology, media or financial services. Hands-on M&A experience: valuation, deal models, due diligence and integration. Experience preparing investor or Board materials, ideally in a PE- or VC-backed company. Advanced financial modeling skills and a strong command of financial statements, US GAAP and corporate financial reporting; IFRS knowledge is a plus. Hands-on expertise in AI-assisted modeling and financial analytics: proficiency in leveraging AI/LLM tools, modern BI suites, relational databases (SQL), and automated financial workflows alongside standard Excel/PowerPoint. Knowledge of royalty management or music/entertainment industry finance is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives, Board members and investors. Experience mentoring or managing junior team members. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Authorized to work in the United States.
