About this role
Accountabilities • Lead social media strategy development based on client objectives, audience insights, platform behaviors, cultural trends, and measurable business goals.
• Translate broader marketing priorities into clear channel, content, community, and engagement strategies.
• Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor and primary point of connection.
• Lead strategic business reviews, content planning sessions, performance presentations, and recommendations that turn data into actionable next steps.
• Oversee social media programs across content planning, publishing, community management, reporting, optimization, and day-to-day account delivery.
• Guide Social Media Managers in developing editorial calendars, content briefs, channel plans, and proactive recommendations.
• Oversee Community Managers and ensure engagement strategies strengthen audience relationships while protecting brand reputation.
• Own account scopes, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and overall operational health, proactively addressing risks and escalations.
• Monitor social performance and emerging trends, identifying opportunities to improve results and strengthen client strategies.
• Manage and mentor Social Media Managers and Community Managers, providing clear expectations, feedback, coaching, and career development.
• Partner with Creative, Production, Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, Strategy, Analytics, and Sales teams to deliver integrated client programs.
• Identify account expansion and upsell opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Strategy teams.
• Contribute social expertise to RFPs, proposals, and new business pitches.
• Stay current on platform updates, cultural shifts, emerging formats, and evolving social behaviors, sharing relevant insights and best practices.
• Establish processes that improve quality, efficiency, consistency, and scalability across account delivery.
• Contribute thought leadership and knowledge sharing across the broader social media management organization.
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, account management, or a related field, including significant client-facing responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience developing and leading social media strategies for complex or enterprise-level brands.
• Strong expertise in organic social media, content strategy, community management, platform best practices, and social measurement.
• Experience managing and mentoring Social Media Managers, Community Managers, or comparable client-facing teams.
• Proven ability to build senior client relationships and navigate complex feedback, competing priorities, escalations, and business objectives.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to translate performance data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent operational skills, including experience managing scopes, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for account growth and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
• Strong understanding of evolving social platforms, cultural trends, audience behavior, and emerging content formats.
• Experience collaborating across paid media, influencer marketing, creative, production, strategy, or analytics is an asset.
• A proactive, strategic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to balance client needs, team development, and business priorities.

• Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 OTE, with final compensation determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and role scope.
