About this role
Accountabilities • Architecture and engineering: Support the development and review of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), ensuring solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, supportability, and operational readiness. Establish and maintain engineering standards, design guidelines, and reference architectures, and participate in technical governance forums and design reviews.
• Enterprise networking: Apply expertise in routing, switching, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, VLAN design, network segmentation, and enterprise connectivity. Review connectivity architectures and implementation approaches, support network security integration, and contribute to enterprise and cloud connectivity planning.
• Automation and development: Identify opportunities to automate deployment and operational workflows. Develop and maintain Python-based scripts, integrate REST APIs, and create reusable automation templates, frameworks, and engineering accelerators that improve consistency and operational efficiency.
• Productization and standardization: Convert individual solutions and pilot implementations into repeatable production models. Develop deployment methodologies, implementation playbooks, reusable design templates, and engineering best practices. Capture lessons learned and translate implementation experience into standardized frameworks and practical guidance.
• Validation and implementation support: Support solution testing, validation, pilot deployments, and first implementations. Investigate implementation challenges, recommend remediation actions, and refine designs based on field feedback to ensure solutions meet technical and operational requirements.
• Cloud and platform integration: Support integration across enterprise networks, applications, security platforms, and cloud environments. Contribute to hybrid architecture design and help ensure reliable connectivity and effective interoperability between systems.
• Documentation and knowledge transfer: Create and maintain architecture documentation, engineering specifications, deployment guides, operational procedures, and implementation instructions. Conduct technical walkthroughs and knowledge-transfer workshops to support smooth handovers to engineering and operations teams.
• Consulting and stakeholder collaboration: Work independently across architecture, engineering, implementation, and operational teams. Gather requirements, facilitate technical discussions, engage stakeholders, and help align engineering solutions with enterprise objectives and delivery standards.
Requirements:
• Professional experience: At least 10 years of experience in enterprise networking, engineering, automation, or solution architecture, ideally within large, global enterprise environments. Candidates should have a proven record of delivering technical solutions across architecture, implementation, validation, and operational handover.
• Enterprise networking expertise: Strong knowledge of routing and switching, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, VLAN design, network segmentation, enterprise network security fundamentals, connectivity design, and network integration.
• Automation and programming skills: Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, Git or other version-control systems, scripting, and automation frameworks. The ability to identify automation opportunities and develop reusable engineering solutions is essential.
• Architecture and technical design: Experience developing and reviewing HLDs and LLDs, defining solution architectures, establishing engineering standards, and producing clear technical documentation. Familiarity with validation and testing practices and technical governance processes is required.
• Cloud and integration knowledge: Understanding of enterprise cloud connectivity, hybrid architectures, platform integration, and security integration across network, application, and cloud environments.
• Productization and engineering practices: Experience developing reusable templates, standardized deployment methodologies, implementation playbooks, and repeatable production processes. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD concepts, DevOps practices, workflow automation, and product engineering is an advantage.
• Additional enterprise technology knowledge: Familiarity with SD-WAN, Network Access Control (NAC), Identity and Access Management (IAM) integration, monitoring and observability platforms, and enterprise security technologies is desirable.
• Consulting and stakeholder management: Strong customer-facing consulting experience, requirements-gathering skills, and the ability to facilitate technical workshops and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience supporting global enterprise delivery initiatives is preferred.
• Analytical and communication skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable explaining complex technical concepts, resolving implementation challenges, and bridging architecture, engineering, automation, and operations.
• Personal effectiveness: A proactive, curious, and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Education and certifications: A bachelor's or master's degree is indicated for the role. Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNP or CCIE, Cisco DevNet, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud certifications, automation or DevOps certifications, and TOGAF.
Benefits:
• Remote work: Fully remote consulting opportunity based in India.
• Contract engagement: Contract-based position with a shared specialist resource model.
• Senior-level technical scope: Opportunity to contribute to enterprise networking, architecture, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Engineering impact: Help establish reusable engineering standards, productized solutions, and scalable deployment practices across enterprise environments.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with architecture, engineering, security, cloud, implementation, and operational teams.
• Professional development: Gain exposure to enterprise technologies, automation frameworks, cloud integration, and engineering process improvement.
• Compensation and additional benefits: Salary or consulting rate, healthcare coverage, paid leave, contract duration, and other benefits have not been specified in the available job description.
