• Strong technical expertise in modern software engineering and AI-driven technologies, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and complex technical trade-offs.

• Demonstrated experience leading the complete software development lifecycle, from product planning and technical design through implementation, launch, production operations, and iterative improvement.

• Experience hiring, coaching, mentoring, and performance-managing software engineers, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed engineering managers.

• Proven ability to develop senior engineering leaders, delegate responsibilities effectively, and establish clear ownership across technical, product, and people-management functions.

• A track record of improving engineering processes, organizational culture, and technical systems while maintaining a balance between delivery speed, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.

• Experience working with geographically distributed teams, ideally collaborating extensively with engineering organizations in both India and the United States.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal judgment, empathy, and the ability to build trust across teams, functions, and time zones.

• The ability to lead an India-based engineering organization while aligning local execution with broader global business and technology priorities.

• Current full-time residence in Bengaluru, India. Applicants based in other Indian cities are not eligible for this position.
