About this role
Accountabilities: In this role, you will oversee client relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams, and contribute directly to technical implementations, ensuring projects meet business objectives while maintaining quality, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Client relationship management: Serve as the primary point of contact throughout client engagements, leading project kickoffs, status meetings, demonstrations, and executive updates. Maintain clear communication, manage expectations, and ensure stakeholders remain informed about progress and outcomes.
• Project delivery and coordination: Own end-to-end delivery plans across AI, data, and application workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables. Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, address misalignment, and coordinate corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
• Risk and escalation management: Proactively identify delivery risks and operational challenges before they affect project outcomes. Triage client concerns, coordinate resolution with internal teams, communicate action plans, and ensure issues are addressed effectively.
• Scope and requirements management: Work with clients to clarify business needs, manage evolving requirements, and assess the impact of scope changes on priorities, timelines, and deliverables. Ensure tasks are clearly defined, assigned, tracked, and completed as agreed.
• Technical communication: Participate in technical discussions and solution design reviews, translating architecture decisions, integrations, and implementation trade-offs into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Business intelligence and reporting: Gather reporting and analytics requirements, translating business questions into KPIs, metric definitions, and functional specifications. Implement reporting solutions in Looker, including data modeling, LookML development, dashboard creation, and Explore design.
• Data quality and modeling: Collaborate with data engineers to validate source data, define semantic layers, and maintain the accuracy, consistency, and performance of reports and dashboards.
• AI-driven analytics: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting through AI capabilities, including conversational analytics, natural-language querying, and AI-generated insights.
• Testing and documentation: Lead user acceptance testing for reports and dashboards. Document data definitions, business rules, reporting specifications, and user guides to support training, adoption, and long-term usability.
• Cross-functional leadership: Coordinate engineering, data, quality assurance, and cloud teams, supporting project planning, onboarding, and resource alignment while reinforcing clear ownership, accountability, and delivery priorities.
Requirements:
You are a technically proficient, client-focused professional who combines strong business analysis capabilities with project delivery leadership and data analytics expertise. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, translating technical concepts into business outcomes, and managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering technology projects in client-facing or consulting environments.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a hands-on business intelligence and reporting role, including requirements gathering, data modeling, and dashboard development.
• Proven experience managing client relationships, delivery timelines, project outcomes, and complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses and semantic layers.
• Solid understanding of modern software delivery practices, including Agile methodologies, cloud-native architectures, APIs, CI/CD, and data platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear business value.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, supported by sound ethical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills, with a consultative mindset and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, establish priorities, and hold stakeholders accountable for commitments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, manage competing demands, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.
• Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in software engineering, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions or analytics-driven technology initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development, Explores, and dashboard design.
• Experience applying AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities to analytics and reporting, such as Gemini in Looker, conversational analytics, or AI-generated insights.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, including BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• PMP, Scrum Master, or an equivalent project management certification.
Benefits:
• Remote work arrangement within the contiguous United States.
• Salaried compensation structure.
• Opportunity to work on AI, data analytics, business intelligence, and application delivery initiatives.
• A client-facing role combining technical implementation, strategic problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership.
• Opportunities to contribute to emerging AI-powered reporting capabilities and innovative analytics solutions.
• A collaborative working environment that brings together technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Commitment to equal employment opportunities and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
