About this role

Accountabilities: • Drive regional sales, order booking, profitability, and market share growth through direct customer and channel engagement.

• Develop and execute commercial strategies covering regional pricing, quotations, contract negotiations, and commercial risk management.

• Manage manufacturer representatives, distributors, valve automation partners, and service providers to achieve regional growth objectives.

• Establish measurable channel partner objectives around sales growth, forecast accuracy, pipeline development, specification wins, opportunity conversion, and market penetration.

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and partners through regular visits, identifying opportunities, developing pursuit strategies, influencing specifications, and closing complex technical and commercial opportunities.

• Identify opportunities within the installed base for actuator replacements, modernization, retrofits, shutdowns, turnarounds, and lifecycle services.

• Maintain accurate CRM information covering specifications, project pursuits, quotations, competitive opportunities, installed-base initiatives, and orders.

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts while identifying risks and opportunities that may affect bookings and project conversion.

• Monitor customer needs, market trends, regulatory developments, competitive activity, and technology advancements, sharing relevant insights to support business strategy.

• Deliver customer presentations, technical workshops, product demonstrations, factory visits, startups, industry events, and trade shows throughout the assigned territory.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align customer requirements, commercial priorities, and regional business objectives.

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• At least 2 years of experience selling electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic valve automation solutions.

• Proven ability to develop customer and channel relationships and identify and convert new business opportunities.

• Strong understanding of commercial sales processes, including pricing, quotations, negotiations, forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity development.

• Ability to understand customer and stakeholder requirements and translate technical needs into commercially viable solutions.

• Strong decision-making, communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to monitor industry and competitive trends and provide timely market insights to internal stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers, channel partners, distributors, representatives, and internal teams.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% throughout the assigned territory.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Five or more years of experience selling electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic valve automation solutions is preferred.

• Demonstrated success promoting actuators to EPCs, OEMs, and channel partners is preferred.

• Existing relationships within refining, petrochemical, chemical, LNG, power, midstream, or general industrial markets are advantageous.

• Desired locations include Kansas City, Missouri or Kansas, North or South Dakota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, or Indianapolis, Indiana.
