About this role

Accountabilities: As a Senior Social Media Analyst, you will oversee social media and influencer measurement, transform campaign results into strategic recommendations, and help teams understand what drives meaningful audience engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

• Measurement Strategy: Partner with research and strategy leaders to develop robust measurement frameworks that reflect the capabilities, metrics, strengths, and limitations of different social platforms and analytics tools.

• Social and Influencer Analytics: Conduct social media audits and influencer performance analyses, identifying meaningful insights and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.

• KPI Development and Benchmarking: Collaborate with strategy teams to establish performance benchmarks, define key performance indicators, set campaign goals, and communicate measurement objectives across teams.

• Creator Intelligence: Evaluate influencer impact beyond standard performance metrics, considering cultural relevance, long-term brand equity, audience relationships, and community trust.

• Reporting and Presentation: Create clear, engaging, and visually compelling reports explaining campaign results, successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign metrics and creator performance over time to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve future initiatives.

• Client and Leadership Communication: Present findings and strategic recommendations to clients and internal leadership, turning complex analysis into compelling narratives that support decision-making.

• Social Listening and Reputation Monitoring: Track social sentiment and conversations in real time, identify emerging issues, and flag potential brand or influencer reputation risks before they escalate.

• Vendor and Tool Management: Assess social measurement platforms and third-party vendors, support the onboarding of new solutions, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure they deliver value.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in social media and influencer measurement. They should be comfortable adapting to changing platform algorithms, evaluating measurement tools, and communicating complex findings to different audiences. Key qualifications include:

• Demonstrated experience in social media analytics, influencer marketing measurement, or a related research and insights role.

• Strong understanding of organic and paid influencer campaign performance, including relevant metrics, KPIs, and measurement methodologies.

• Experience designing or implementing measurement frameworks that produce reliable, defensible insights for business decisions.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful patterns and trends.

• Experience conducting social media audits, analyzing creator performance, and developing benchmarks and campaign objectives.

• Understanding of creator impact beyond immediate engagement or reach, including cultural relevance, brand equity, and community trust.

• Excellent reporting and data storytelling skills, including the ability to create visually effective presentations and communicate recommendations clearly.

• Familiarity with social listening, sentiment analysis, online reputation monitoring, and identifying potential brand risks.

• Experience evaluating social measurement tools and managing relationships with technology providers or third-party vendors.

• Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with research, strategy, client-facing, and leadership teams in a changing social media landscape.

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate: $50–$70 per hour, depending on experience.

• Temporary assignment: Opportunity to contribute to social media and influencer programs through January 2027.

• Strategic impact: Help shape measurement approaches and improve campaign performance for a major retail client.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with research and strategy leaders, clients, and internal teams.

• Analytical ownership: Apply your expertise to campaign measurement, creator intelligence, social listening, and performance reporting.

• Inclusive workplace culture: Join an environment that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives, promotes belonging, and aims to help every team member reach their potential.
