About this role
Accountabilities • Partner with the Brand Manager to develop social media concepts and execute content strategies informed by competitive research and platform-specific audiences.
• Create social media graphics, videos, and other digital content using Canva or similar tools while maintaining brand consistency and visual quality.
• Serve as a primary creator and on-camera presence for user-generated content across paid and organic marketing channels.
• Manage community engagement by responding to comments, mentions, reviews, and other audience interactions across social and review platforms in a timely manner.
• Monitor social media performance, capture relevant metrics, and use insights to inform creative testing and future content decisions.
• Maintain an organized social media calendar with content plans and outlines prepared at least one month in advance.
• Identify emerging trends, platform features, technologies, and optimization opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Monitor internet culture, industry news, social trends, and relevant PR mentions to identify timely content opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across paid media, design, content, and marketing to ensure creative assets support broader campaign objectives.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements when creating or managing content.
• Support additional marketing initiatives, events, and content-creation activities as needed.
• Attend onsite planning sessions at least twice annually and travel occasionally for relevant content-creation opportunities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Professional, internship, academic, freelance, or relevant personal experience managing or supporting social media accounts.
• Familiarity with major platforms including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating social media content creation, user-generated content, design, video, or other relevant creative work.
• Confidence and comfort creating and appearing in on-camera content.
• Proficiency with Canva or comparable creative tools.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling or management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
• Understanding of how brands can participate authentically in social conversations while maintaining appropriate brand safety.
• Strong awareness of internet culture, social trends, and meme culture, with sound judgment regarding their appropriate use.
• Strong visual and design sensibility, particularly in relation to social engagement and brand consistency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
• Self-motivated, curious, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative without extensive direction.
• Ability to experiment, respond constructively to feedback, learn from performance results, and continuously improve creative work.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with short-form video, social analytics, or content creation for a brand, organization, freelance client, or personal platform is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to attend required onsite planning sessions and travel occasionally for content creation.
