Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Accountabilities: • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for cloud-based and microservice deployments.

• Build and execute functional and non-functional tests to validate system reliability, scalability, performance, and security.

• Develop high-quality, organized, efficient, and well-documented automation code using Python and/or Go.

• Improve internal testing processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency, coverage, and software quality.

• Test distributed systems, containers, Kubernetes environments, and infrastructure-as-code implementations.

• Contribute to the development and validation of highly available, scalable, secure, and performant cloud infrastructure.

• Integrate and maintain automation within CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Investigate defects and system issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement effective solutions.

• Participate in agile development practices and contribute technical expertise to cross-functional cloud engineering initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, software testing, test automation, SDET, or a closely related engineering role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong programming skills in Python or Go , with the ability to write maintainable, efficient, and well-structured code.

• Solid understanding of GNU/Linux systems programming and networking concepts.

• Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing of containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and related cloud technologies.

• Experience developing or working with automation frameworks and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions , or similar platforms.

• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development practices.

• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating effectively with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and other technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and globally distributed environment.
