About this role
Accountabilities: • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with regional and business-unit objectives, identifying opportunities for profitable market penetration and customer growth.
• Analyse market potential, products, pricing, competition, logistics, and sales channels to inform regional commercial strategies.
• Lead sales forecasting and budgeting activities, establish targets, and recommend or approve relevant expenditures.
• Provide direction to the sales team on account strategies, territory planning, pipeline development, and administrative priorities.
• Support the expansion of existing accounts while maintaining strong levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship quality.
• Act as a quoting and pricing authority for OEM and distributor accounts within established commercial policies.
• Manage sales administration for assigned accounts and ensure product pricing remains aligned with relevant market conditions.
• Work with sales, product, engineering, and other internal teams to review customer specifications and documentation and develop cost estimates or production projections.
• Build relationships with purchasing, engineering, management, and other technical and commercial decision-makers to communicate product value and drive profitable growth.
• Support the successful introduction of new products and recommend improvements to sales and marketing processes.
• Analyse regional pricing, competitor activity, discount policies, and market dynamics to identify opportunities to improve profitability and market penetration.
• Administer existing commercial contracts and agreements and negotiate new contractual arrangements when required.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately, on time, and through appropriate routing.
• Maintain an effective flow of information between the business and customers.
• Represent the organisation at trade shows, industry meetings, and relevant customer events.
• Deliver sales presentations, support key-account negotiations, maintain customer relationships, and help close complex opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales reports, performance data, forecasts, and other commercial analyses as required.
• Monitor and evaluate competitor activities to identify market developments and potential commercial opportunities.
• Identify practical opportunities to use AI tools to improve sales productivity, decision-making, work quality, and cost efficiency while critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) from a four-year university, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• At least 3 years of direct sales leadership experience .
• Demonstrated record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and commercial targets.
• Proven experience prospecting, developing, orchestrating, and closing complex sales cycles.
• Strong working knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including account development, pricing, forecasting, territory planning, and competitive analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and commercial decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to understand new products, technologies, and business concepts quickly and translate them into compelling customer value propositions.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to use market, customer, competitor, and sales data to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to use AI tools effectively, identify appropriate AI use cases, and critically assess AI-generated information before applying it to business decisions.
• Ability to operate collaboratively across functions while maintaining strong ownership of regional sales outcomes.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
