About this role
Accountabilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, cloud-native software solutions using C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
• Build and enhance robust accounting, financial management, and reconciliation applications.
• Architect systems with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Develop and deploy applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams throughout sprint planning, development, testing, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Lead and contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Apply AI-assisted development and automation to reduce repetitive work, accelerate delivery, and improve engineering decision-making.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct research, and develop effective solutions across the application stack.
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in development practices, automation, software quality, and engineering processes.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant professional programming experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Strong proficiency with C#/.NET, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, SQL Server, OpenAPI, Apigee, and GCP.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications and working with technologies such as Datadog, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of SaaS application development, automated testing, software quality, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum or Kanban, with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to use AI and automation effectively within software development workflows to improve productivity and delivery quality.
• Strong architectural thinking, troubleshooting, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively through ambiguity.
• Experience conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to maintain engineering standards.
• Demonstrated ability to guide and support other software engineers with technical problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in startup environments or the insurance industry is a plus.
• Experience building or integrating General Ledger, accounting, or reconciliation systems at scale is preferred.
• Exposure to Node.js development and payment technologies is an advantage.
