Role Overview HighLevel is looking for a Staff Product Manager - Growth to drive activation, feature adoption, product-led expansion, and retention across the entire Email Charter. In this role, you will be responsible for turning new and existing agencies into active email power users by optimizing onboarding funnels, designing viral product-led growth (PLG) mechanics, running continuous experimentation programs, and directly linking email feature adoption to customer lifecycle value and ARR. Key Responsibilities 1. Optimize Activation & Onboarding FunnelsDesign frictionless onboarding journeys that accelerate time-to-value for agencies and sub-accounts configuring email templates, sending campaigns, and launching sequences. 2. Drive Product-Led Growth (PLG) & Viral ExpansionImplement PLG loops, feature discovery nudges, template sharing ecosystems, and in-app monetization/upsell prompts to expand email usage across sub-accounts. 3. Build & Scale Experimentation PipelineEstablish a high-velocity A/B testing framework covering onboarding flows, feature paywalls, pricing tiers, and campaign setup wizards to continuously improve conversion rates. 4. Track Product Analytics & Campaign ROIDefine and monitor core activation funnels, usage decay metrics, and feature retention cohorts, demonstrating a clear correlation between email usage and platform retention. 5. Execute Cross-Functional Growth StrategyPartner closely with Product Marketing, Growth Engineering, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to deploy targeted growth campaigns and adoption initiatives. What Success Looks Like First 90 Days Funnel Analysis: Map and analyze the end-to-end user journey for Email Marketing, identifying key friction points and drop-off stages in onboarding. Experimentation Cadence: Establish a structured experimentation backlog and launch initial A/B tests on onboarding and feature discovery flows. North Star Alignment: Define clear growth metrics (e.g., Activation Rate, Campaign Creation Velocity) and align stakeholders. First 12 Months Activation Lift: Achieve measurable, double-digit increases in new user email activation rates within their first 14 days. PLG Expansion: Successfully launch template-sharing and feature-discovery growth loops that drive viral adoption across sub-accounts. Retention Impact: Demonstrate a direct positive impact on sub-account retention and platform lifetime value (LTV) driven by email feature engagement. Requirements Experience: 8+ years of Product Management experience with a dedicated focus on Growth, PLG, funnel optimization, or monetization in B2B SaaS platforms. Experimentation Mastery: Proven track record of designing and executing high-velocity A/B and multivariate testing programs that yield statistically significant growth. Analytics Expertise: Deep mastery of product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap, etc.), cohort analysis, funnel tracking, and SQL/data visualization. Growth Instincts: Strong product intuition paired with a highly analytical, hypotheses-driven operational methodology. Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to lead matrixed growth teams across engineering, marketing, design, and analytics. Nice-to-Have MarTech Growth: Prior experience driving growth or product-led adoption within marketing automation, CRM, or agency management platforms. Pricing & Packaging: Experience optimizing pricing tiers, feature gating, or usage-based monetization models.
