Staff Product Manager, Search Experiences

Accountabilities: • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for search experiences across a desktop browser, with a focus on user engagement and revenue outcomes.

• Lead end-to-end experimentation across search access points, default search experiences, search suggestions, and emerging search interactions.

• Establish clear product success metrics in collaboration with Data Science and use analytical insights to guide prioritization and product decisions.

• Partner with Business Development on search partnerships, ensuring product execution aligns with contractual requirements and broader strategic objectives.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Research, and Design to prototype, validate, and launch innovative search experiences.

• Evaluate and navigate trade-offs between user experience, privacy, technical constraints, and revenue in a rapidly changing search and AI environment.

• Contribute to quarterly and annual planning by identifying product opportunities, risks, dependencies, and longer-term strategic initiatives.

• Help shape how traditional search experiences evolve alongside AI-powered answers and emerging agentic browsing experiences.

• Influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders while maintaining alignment around product strategy, measurable outcomes, and user needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Product Management experience, including ownership of user-facing and revenue-impacting products or product areas.

• Experience working in search, discovery, recommendations, AI/ML-powered products, browser or web-platform experiences, or closely related domains.

• Strong understanding of modern AI capabilities and their implications for product strategy, user experiences, and product development.

• Demonstrated experience designing and leading experimentation programs that produce measurable product or business outcomes.

• Strong analytical capabilities, including fluency with product analytics tools and SQL.

• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders without direct management authority.

• Proven ability to balance user needs, privacy considerations, technical limitations, commercial objectives, and strategic priorities.

• Strong product judgment and ability to make decisions in complex, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional leadership.

• Ability to translate data, research, customer needs, and market developments into clear product strategies and actionable roadmaps.

• US Tier 1: $163,000–$218,000 USD.

• US Tier 2: $150,000–$200,000 USD.
