About this role
ABOUT AIRWALLEX
Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 676,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.
We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,300 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. What you’ll do
As an Account Manager in our Singapore SME & Growth team, you will be responsible for unlocking revenue opportunities within a portfolio of 200 to 300 existing SME customers.
You’ll identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, deepen product adoption, and maximise each client’s lifetime value on the Airwallex platform.
You will partner closely with sales, product, marketing, operations and strategy to turn real-time usage signals into commercial outcomes, while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Hunt for revenue within an assigned portfolio of existing SME customers by identifying and executing upsell, cross-sell and expansion opportunities across Airwallex’s product suite.
- Build deep, multi-stakeholder relationships (including C-level where relevant) to understand each customer’s business model, pain points and growth plans, and design value-based solutions using our products and services.
- Monitor real-time client and transaction data to spot usage patterns, risk signals and high-revenue potential accounts, and convert these quickly into qualified opportunities and closed revenue.
- Execute rapid, high-intent outreach to key decision-makers via phone, WhatsApp and email immediately after signals are identified, ensuring you capture client interest at its peak.
- Own a clear, data-driven pipeline in Salesforce (or similar CRM), including forecasting, activity tracking and conversion metrics, to give the business full visibility on performance and growth potential.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. product, engineering, marketing, finance, operations) to solve complex client problems, feed back customer insights and influence the product roadmap.
- Be an advocate for Airwallex by educating customers on how to get the most from their Business Account and broader product stack, ensuring they use our services to their full potential.
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of B2B experience managing and growing technology or fintech relationships with SME accounts, with a focus on revenue expansion and product adoption.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (due to nature of clients you will support), with the ability to run commercial conversations and negotiations confidently.
- Prior experience with complex sales cycles and selling to senior stakeholders (including C-level executives), ideally in a multi-product environment.
- Proven track record of being success-oriented and accountable for delivering against KPIs and revenue targets within an existing customer base.
- A strong relationship builder who can establish trust and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams across different functions and levels.
- A problem solver with an analytical mindset – comfortable interpreting data, usage trends and client information to derive actionable insights, and able to simplify complexity for others.
