About this role

About us:

How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal.

And we’re just getting started.

We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter.

To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.

About the team

The Advertising team sits at the heart of growth for Web Summit events worldwide. We run large-scale, performance-driven campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging platforms, reaching millions of people globally and converting them into attendees, partners and media. The team works closely with Analytics, Growth, Web, Creative and Sales to build a best-in-class acquisition engine that has helped grow Web Summit from 400 attendees in 2010 to more than 100,000 today. We're hiring an Advertising Associate who takes a brief and runs, but never alone. This team pitches ideas off each other, tests what excites us, and never stops trying to understand our audience better. You already know Meta, Google and LinkedIn inside out. You care more about the person behind the click than the click itself. And your best ideas come out in conversation, not in isolation.

What you'll achieve at Web Summit • You'll run day-to-day campaign execution across Meta, LinkedIn and Google, using your own read of the data to influence direction as you go.

• You'll turn data into something worth pitching: producing reports is the baseline, sparking the team's next move is the job.

• You'll partner with Growth, Marketing Analytics, Creative, and our Startup and Partner teams to build integrated campaigns and consistent messaging across every attendee type.

• You'll bring a customer lens to every test and decision, using data to explain not just what happened, but why, and what it means for the person on the other end.

• You'll help build the testing agenda across creative, targeting and bidding, pitching ideas to the team and showcasing the results.

• You'll be listened to. Good ideas get airtime here regardless of who they come from.

Who you are • You have 5+ years of performance marketing experience

• You’re genuinely data-centric. You reach for the numbers before the opinion, and you know the difference between a metric and an insight.

• You’re customer-led by instinct. You weigh decisions through the customer's eyes, not just the channel's.

• You’ll regularly pull and aggregate raw campaign data across multiple platforms, transforming high-volume report exports into clean, actionable dashboards and analysis.

• You have a career focused on paid media management and content marketing.

• You're not just an advertiser; you're a driven and creative individual in general.

• You’re naturally curious and want to experiment with new ideas all the time.

• You’re inspired by technology and innovation; you can spot trends and keep up-to-date with the latest ideas in tech and marketing.

Skills and abilities we're looking for • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or relevant experience.

• Deep working knowledge of Meta, Google and LinkedIn Ads, with relevant experience in other paid social or emerging platforms (TikTok and similar).

• Experience in B2B or lead-generation marketing, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver quantifiable results, using data to inform decisions and make an impact

• Strong grasp of funnel metrics beyond CTR, CPA, ROAS, LTV, and how they connect back to the business.

• Experience in or exposure to the tech sector is a strong advantage; you understand how a business like this one moves.

• A motivated strategic thinker who appreciates the high degree of autonomy and responsibility but works really well in a team.

• Native or near-native fluency in English, both written and spoken (fluency in other languages is an advantage)

Benefits and perks: Subsidised healthcare, dental, employee assistance programme (EAP) and more. Employer pension contribution up to 6% for Irish-based employees A dedicated in-house L&D department, with access to workshops, online learning and resources to help you excel in your career development. Company MacBook, generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements. Our very own Tramway Team, which drives community and morale-boosting events for employees to participate in. Annual company get-togethers, charity days, and monthly wellbeing talks. Wellness subsidy issued to all employees of €1000 per year At Web Summit, we embrace diversity and inclusion. We want talent from all walks of life to help us on our journey to digitise the conference sector. Hiring decisions are made purely on experience, skills and the needs of the business.
