Responsibilities: • Parallelize and optimize accounting and financial calculations using Apache Spark
• Develop and maintain backend REST web services
• Integrate applications through predefined interface and contract agreements
• Manage and improve batch-based data processing workflows
• Optimize data orchestration processes with a focus on performance and stability
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing and production rollout
• Support DevOps automation and continuous deployment practices
• Collaborate with global teams across Budapest, London, New York, Montreal and India
Requirements: • Strong development experience with Java , preferably Spring
• Experience with Scala or a comparable programming language
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases , such as SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase or DB2
• Experience with Big Data technologies or repositories such as Hadoop or MongoDB
• Understanding of modern SDLC methodologies and Agile practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international environment
Nice to Have: • Experience with UNIX/Linux application debugging
• Experience with DevOps automation tools and scripting, such as AutoSys, UNIX Shell, Perl or Python
• Previous experience in finance, accounting or banking
• Knowledge of business reporting, data science or data processing concepts
