What You'll Do • Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of physical, functional, and orthopedic limitations
• Help patients improve their ability to safely and independently perform activities of daily living
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's functional needs, goals, and lifestyle
• Address limitations involving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, endurance, and functional movement
• Incorporate therapeutic activities designed to improve patients' ability to perform everyday tasks
• Work with patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or other conditions affecting their ability to function independently
• Educate patients and appropriate caregivers on treatment plans, home programs, and strategies to promote continued progress
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
• Communicate effectively with patients, referring providers, and other members of the SportsMed team
• Collaborate with other disciplines when appropriate to support the patient's overall rehabilitation goals
What We're Looking For • New Jersey Occupational Therapy License
• New graduates and experienced Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply
• Interest in functional rehabilitation and helping patients regain independence in their daily activities
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to evaluate how physical and functional limitations affect a patient's ability to perform everyday tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish strong relationships with patients and motivate them throughout their rehabilitation
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Computer literacy and ability to complete electronic documentation
• Commitment to continued professional development and learning
