About this role

About Simulmedia

Since 2008, Simulmedia has helped brands and agencies turn TV into a measurable growth channel. Our AI-powered media platform for planning, activating, and measuring campaigns works across linear, local, and connected TV.

Everyone here owns problems end-to-end, and our design team is small, so your decisions ship and matter.

About the role

Think about it as a mix of a product manager's mindset with a strong design vertical skills. Design here is AI-first and builder-led. We expect you to take a problem, define ways to solve it, identify the best ways to shape the output, and involve stakeholders throughout the solution's development. Your output might be a Figma design mockup, a prototype, shipped production code, a PRD, or a decision document.

What you'll do

• Own problems end to end. Define the problem with your PM and engineers, decide what should exist at all, explore options, validate them, and ship improvements that move key metrics. Stay with the work after handoff.

• Work across the business. Client-facing products, internal tools, sales enablement, or customer experience, depending on priorities.

• Start in writing. Use AI to clarify hypotheses, surface risks and edge cases, write short PRDs or decision documents. Sometimes the document is the final outcome: not every problem needs a UI solution.

• Use research to go faster. Talk to sales managers, customer success managers, and internal users, run quick tests, and adjust direction based on what you learn. Use research to speed up decisions, not block them.

• Prototype with AI. Build and iterate on flows in Claude Code, Cursor, or similar. AI writes the code, and you own structure, behavior, and UX quality.

• UI Design. When it makes sense, turn validated concepts into production-ready designs with every state covered and aligned with our design system.

• Ship with engineers. You'll occasionally ship small UI fixes to production; engineers own production code, and your share can grow over time.

What we expect from you

• 3+ years as a product designer on complex B2B products with dense, data-heavy interfaces: tables, filters, reporting, multi-role flows.

• A portfolio that shows product thinking, interaction design, and craft

• At least several products you've built or prototyped in code with AI tools.

• You proactively build domain and technical knowledge and get up to speed quickly on new problems.

• Comfort in Claude Code, or similar: you can work in an existing codebase and get a prototype running without waiting for an engineer.

• Good UI skills: your mockups are neat, balanced, and focused on user value.

• Based anywhere in Ukraine

• English at B2+ (upper-intermediate) or higher.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, media, or analytics/reporting product experience.

• A public GitHub or shipped side projects.

• Experience in data visualization

• Interest in growing your product management and engineering skills alongside design.

How we hire

Apply with a link to your portfolio. The process has three steps:

• Technical interview. Walk us through your portfolio and how you work: your research, how you prototype, and the decisions behind one project you built.

• Test task. We'd like to understand how you operate within an new domain and are ready to defend your own work

• Product manager interview. Product thinking and collaboration: how you define problems and success, prioritize, and work with a PM day to day.
