About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical & Team Support
• Perform and support the maintenance team with troubleshooting and hands-on repair tasks when needed to ensure equipment uptime and reliability
• Provide informal leadership and serve as a go-to resource for parts location, work order system questions, and workflow logistics.
• Assist with preventive maintenance optimization by flagging repetitive issues and supporting root cause documentation.
• Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to monitor equipment performance, observe trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Support documentation and analysis of maintenance data to guide improvements in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
Vendor & Repair Coordination
• Coordinate repairs and scheduled maintenance with forklift and other equipment vendors.
• Track service visits, communicate downtime expectations, and follow-up to ensure vendor performance meets uptime requirement.
• Assist with gathering quotes or scheduling third-party maintenance when required.
• Identify and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary; evaluate alternatives to improve equipment reliability, reduce costs, and minimize downtime
Continuous Improvement and Operational Support
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and improving maintenance efficiency.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Ensure maintenance work areas, including the parts storage and supply stations, are compliant with safety and 5S standards.
Safety and Compliance
• Follow all safety policies, technical instructions, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain situational awareness, identify/correct/report unsafe behaviors or conditions, and proactively mitigate risks.
Professional Development
• Complete and conduct on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development and advanced skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of maintenance, inventory, or equipment support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical parts, with ability to identify and source correct components.
• Experience using CMMS or inventory tracking systems to issue parts, track WOs, and manage reorder points.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read technical specifications drawings (mechanical/electrical)
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Must be able to pass forklift and high-reach certification (or certify within 6 months).
Physical Demands/Work Environment
• Work environment is comparable to outdoor temperatures
• Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
• Regularly moves about the facility
• Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material. Assistance provided as needed.
• Visual inspection of material quality required.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate-control
• In-person attendance is an essential function of the job
Shift schedule and Information • Must be available to work 6:30am - 3:30pm.
