About this role
Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and tear down a multi-function die cutting press.
• Mount dies and make machine adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Meet established production, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Review job status, instructions, and production concerns with operators on adjacent shifts to ensure smooth transitions.
• Accurately complete production documentation, including labor reporting, quality assurance forms, job tickets, and move tags.
• Perform finishing operations such as popping out parts from cut sheets, wrapping skids, and moving finished product.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process and stop production when necessary to correct quality issues.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Properly handle, recycle, and dispose of materials while minimizing waste and scrap.
Preferred Skills & Experience • High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating die cutting or similar converting equipment is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to enter production information into manufacturing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
