About this role
What You'll Do • Prepare offset color presses for production runs according to job specifications.
• Load and replenish paper stock and ink as directed by the Press Operator.
• Set up and adjust paper guides, feeder heads, and related equipment.
• Monitor paper feed and press performance during production and make necessary adjustments.Inspect printed materials for quality and identify issues requiring correction.
• Monitor conductivity and alcohol levels to maintain proper press operation.
• Perform routine press maintenance and cleanup, including washing plates and blankets and lubricating equipment.
• Change press blankets and assist with equipment setup and maintenance.
• Obtain production materials, including stock, ink, and supplies.
• Support other offset presses and production areas as needed.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Participate in quality assurance efforts and stop production when necessary to address quality concerns.
What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous printing, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to enter information into production systems.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and support various production processes.
Physical Requirements
This position requires:
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
• Bending, reaching, stooping, and other physical movements throughout the shift.
• Working around printing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely while meeting production and quality standards.
