About this role

Working at Omnisend is... kind of boring. Not the soul-crushing kind of boring — more like the “no drama, no chaos, just smart people doing great work” kind. The kind that lets you focus on what matters, without pointless meetings, micromanagement, or bureaucracy. We’re data-driven. We test, we iterate, we improve. Gut feelings don’t drive decisions — insights do. We trust each other. We’re transparent, give actionable feedback, and honestly listen. No egos, no hand-holding — just a team of experienced professionals moving fast, adapting easily, and delivering impact. Omnisend is customer-funded and customer-driven. Our work is rooted in solving real problems that help ecommerce brands grow. No empty promises — we bring in results. And yes, we have fun. But the grown-up kind — workations, team gatherings, the occasional party. No forced fun, no awkward icebreakers. Just genuine moments with a team that actually enjoys working together. Product Communications is how Omnisend's product reaches customers and how customers actually get value from it. As a Director, you lead the team that turns every release into adoption, every feature into revenue, and every touchpoint into a reason to stay. We need this team to be fast, aggressive, and the loudest champions of our product, both inside and outside the company. You'll sit in CX and work closely with Product and Marketing. This is a leadership role with hands-on edges.

What you'll do @Omnisend: • Create, align, and implement communication strategy. Set the Product Comms strategy, align it with Product, GTM, CX, and leadership so every team tells the same story. Then turn it into a clear plan with priorities, owners, and targets that the team executes and reports against.

• Own adoption, not just announcements. Go past "release comms and that's it." For every key launch, own the follow-ups, the education, and the segmentation for new customers, all the way to adoption.

• Turn comms into revenue. Build upsell flows (for example, add-ons like abandoned cart) and churn-prevention automations. Take ownership of a defined share of churn. We shouldn't be the shoemaker without shoes

• Take the product outside. Grow the webinar and partner program. Turn inbound partner interest into a platform (several partners are already asking), and get product people comfortable presenting their own work

• Build speed through automation and AI. Automate the repetitive work, from campaign operations to speaker and partner coordination

• Teach the org how to work with us. Make it obvious who to go to, when, and with what

• Enable the company. Equip Sales, CX, Support, and Marketing with clear, current information on what we ship and why it matters

• Lead and shape the team. Hire for the open roles, including lifecycle. Define the team structure, including how direct marketing and product marketing split

• Measure what matters. Track launch adoption, retention impact, revenue, and churn contribution, not email volume or open rates. Present results to leadership with clear numbers, then kill what doesn't work and scale what does

We expect that you'll bring: • Several years in product marketing, lifecycle, or product communications in SaaS, ideally SMB and product-led

• Hands-on direct marketing experience is preferred: you've run campaigns at scale or led the team that did

• A track record in lifecycle, upsell, and retention, with the numbers to show for it

• Experience managing stakeholders in a cross-functional org. You align Product and Marketing, and you unblock your team

• A structured operating style. You bring clarity, direction, and processes

• A bias for speed. You ship, test, and iterate rather than wait for perfection

• Genuine fluency with AI. You use it daily and know where it removes manual work

• Precise written and verbal communication in fluent English

• Ecommerce or martech experience is an advantage

What we offer in return: • Gross salary starting from 6000 EUR/gross based on experience

• Quarterly salary reviews

• An unlimited learning budget for self-improvement complying with the best interest of Omnisend

• Private health insurance

• Unlimited access to psychotherapy

• Flexible working hours and remote work possibilities

• Workstation budget

• Personalised work anniversary gifts, such as house cleaning, spa treatments, international flights etc.

• Working methods and best practices inspired by the best tech companies in Silicon Valley

• Senior colleagues (over 70%) enable us to have a high-performing, productive environment where your growth will accelerate

• Attractive workations and team-led team-building events
