About this role

Accountabilities • Design, build, and deploy the first production AI agents in collaboration with Product Managers, beginning with product brief creation and the handoff from product management to design.

• Expand agent capabilities across the broader product lifecycle, from initial customer insights and planning through delivery and measurement.

• Define and develop shared architecture, technical standards, and reusable components for orchestration, skills, memory, evaluations, and guardrails across product lines.

• Establish production-quality practices covering observability, testing, security, reliability, and cost management, with human approval at critical decision points.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand existing workflows, identify automation opportunities, and deliver small, iterative solutions that users can test and adopt.

• Measure the effectiveness of AI agents through indicators such as time saved, speed from customer feedback to product decisions, and cost per agent or feature.

• Evaluate solutions continuously, prioritizing meaningful improvements and discontinuing initiatives that do not deliver measurable value.

• Share agent development practices, tools, and technical knowledge to help colleagues independently build, operate, and improve AI agents.

• Partner with AI engineering and data specialists to align architecture, share reusable patterns, and strengthen the organization's AI development capabilities.

Requirements:

• Strong production engineering experience across the AI agent development lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience designing and deploying multi-agent systems in production, including orchestration, tool integration, context management, and memory.

• Experience integrating AI agents with platforms and tools such as Slack, Atlassian products, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Demonstrated ability to instrument and evaluate non-deterministic systems through evaluations, observability, regression testing, and cost tracking.

• Sound architectural judgment across reliability, security, and cost optimization, including the ability to select appropriate models for different use cases.

• Confidence in forming, communicating, and defending technical recommendations.

• Experience building reusable components, internal tools, or technical capabilities that other teams or users adopt.

• Strong product understanding and the ability to translate Product Managers' workflows and needs into practical technical solutions.

• Collaborative mindset, with an interest in sharing knowledge and helping teams adapt to new ways of working.

• Builder mentality, taking ownership of delivered solutions and remaining comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities.

• Regular, thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to assess their strengths and limitations critically.

• Nice to have: Product management experience or experience working on B2B SaaS, HR, or IT products.

Benefits:

• Base salary of CAD $140,000–$170,000 annually, with final compensation adjusted according to the candidate's province or region and local market conditions.

• Annual bonus program.

• Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), providing an opportunity to participate in the company's long-term growth.

• Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).

• Family health insurance.

• Telemedicine services.

• Annual wellness budget.

• Flexible vacation policy.

• Remote work arrangement, with access to an office in Montreal.

• In-person team gatherings twice a year.

• Access to Claude for all employees.
