About this role
Accountabilities: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own front-end development while helping strengthen engineering standards, delivery practices, and client relationships.
• Own React feature development end-to-end, from application design through implementation, testing, and release.
• Establish and improve automated quality gates across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Lead code reviews to improve quality, consistency, maintainability, and engineering standards across client codebases.
• Create and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows covering builds, testing, linting, and security checks.
• Administer GitHub repositories, including dependency management, permissions, branch protection, and repository hygiene.
• Partner with client teams to improve security and quality through dependency updates, vulnerability remediation, and static analysis.
• Build reusable front-end patterns, shared components, and design system integrations that support scalable product development.
• Mentor and pair with engineers across distributed and client teams on modern React and front-end practices.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead technical conversations with clients, translate business needs into technical plans, set expectations, and provide thoughtful technical guidance.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and client platforms, including enterprise systems that may be unfamiliar.
• Contribute to additional engineering initiatives and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings strong front-end engineering expertise, practical leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple projects and client environments.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep experience with React and Redux or comparable state-management solutions, including application design.
• Strong TypeScript experience and experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend platforms.
• Experience with React unit and integration testing as well as end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated experience leading code reviews on React-based codebases.
• Experience authoring and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and administering GitHub repositories.
• Experience developing accessible and responsive user interfaces, ideally within a shared design system.
• Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and technologies effectively while adapting to changing environments.
• Comfortable translating business requirements into clear technical approaches and communicating trade-offs with stakeholders.
• Experience with Vitest, Playwright, Snyk, SonarQube, Cursor or other AI-assisted development tools, Next.js, AWS or other cloud platforms , or enterprise platforms such as IBM TRIRIGA is highly valued.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
