About this role

Accountabilities • Lead software design and code reviews, establish development standards, and contribute to technical decisions that support strategic product goals.

• Participate throughout the application lifecycle, including architecture, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.

• Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable software using C#, JavaScript/TypeScript technologies, modern frontend frameworks, REST APIs, and cloud-native practices.

• Develop and maintain full-stack application components, including UI, application services, data layers, and reusable libraries.

• Champion an API-first approach, ensuring integrations are secure, scalable, extensible, and performant.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements across applications and infrastructure.

• Design and maintain unit, integration, and UI automation testing strategies to improve product quality and test coverage.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms, including data structure design, optimization, and performance improvements.

• Build and deploy applications using Kubernetes and support cloud-native infrastructure and observability practices, including OpenTelemetry.

• Monitor system health and participate in on-call rotations, responding to incidents and resolving critical production issues with minimal disruption.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, product teams, customers, and vendors to identify requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance and training, and support the professional development of the wider engineering team.

• Improve development tools, code quality, test coverage, and engineering processes while maintaining clear technical documentation and proactive communication.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience, or 6+ years with an advanced degree; the broader role profile typically targets around 10 years of experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong programming expertise in C# with proven full-stack development experience.

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, together with HTML and CSS.

• In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations.

• Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud-native infrastructure and with Kubernetes.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data structures, caching mechanisms, and database performance optimization.

• Strong understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, integration, and performance.

• Advanced experience developing unit, integration, and UI automation tests.

• Experience with production monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, proactive reliability improvements, and measurement tracking.

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or comparable observability practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver against deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear technical input to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams and across engineering, product, and broader organizational initiatives.

• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership is highly valuable.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience with SaaS products in technology or financial services environments.

• Preferred: Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.

• Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
