Senior, Business Intelligence Engineer

Accountabilities: • Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced analytical techniques to generate actionable insights and recommendations that improve revenue operations efficiency.

• Develop and maintain automated data reconciliation, monitoring, quality checks, and testing frameworks to identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of critical reports and dashboards.

• Build clear, compelling data visualizations that make complex insights accessible and actionable for technical and business audiences.

• Design, build, and maintain robust data models that support Go-to-Market analytics, reporting, data science, and AI initiatives.

• Drive BI-as-code practices by treating dashboards and semantic layers as code and leveraging Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to create reproducible, version-controlled, and scalable data infrastructure.

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into reliable analytical solutions.

• Establish, document, and reconcile critical business metrics to improve organization-wide data consistency and alignment.

• Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting processes, analytics tools, and overall business intelligence capabilities.

• Contribute to the development of data culture and best practices while sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline, preferably supporting Go-to-Market or sales analytics within a SaaS environment.

• Strong experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, particularly for executive reporting and sales analytics.

• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience designing and implementing data models.

• Proven ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to define, document, reconcile, and standardize critical business metrics.

• Demonstrated experience implementing data quality, testing, CI/CD, and data observability frameworks.

• Strong technical communication and mentorship skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics is preferred.

• Software engineering mindset applied to data, including familiarity with code reviews, automated testing, and development environment separation.

• Experience with code-based BI and semantic tools such as Looker/LookML, dbt, Cube.js, or Apache Superset is desirable.

• Strong proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Experience with AI products and tools such as Claude, Cortex, Glean, or Gemini is a plus.

• Familiarity with Go-to-Market technology stacks such as Salesforce and Gong is preferred.

• Ability to promote data-driven practices and establish strong data culture within a fast-paced technology organization.

• Estimated salary ranges vary by location: $116,960–$146,200 in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, and Washington D.C.; $123,760–$154,700 in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, and California outside the San Francisco Bay Area; and $137,520–$171,900 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
