About this role
Accountabilities: As a Senior Mobile Software Engineer contributing to AI training, you will develop rigorous coding challenges and evaluation environments that assess how effectively AI models solve real-world mobile engineering problems. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Create realistic, engaging, and technically challenging mobile coding tasks using repositories of your choice.
• Design problems that assess advanced engineering skills, including identifying subtle bugs, implementing complex features, managing application state and lifecycle, refactoring code, and improving performance.
• Develop tasks within your area of expertise, including cross-platform applications built with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Dart; iOS applications using Swift; or Android applications using Kotlin.
• Define clear problem statements and establish reproducible development environments for each coding challenge.
• Build deterministic automated verifiers that accept correct solutions across different valid implementations while rejecting incorrect, incomplete, or hard-coded approaches.
• Develop high-quality reference solutions demonstrating effective ways to solve each task.
• Ensure that challenges accurately reflect real-world mobile software engineering requirements and test meaningful technical problem-solving abilities.
• Meet the project's minimum weekly submission requirements, which will be communicated during onboarding.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on mobile engineering experience, excellent debugging skills, and a solid understanding of modern application development principles. Relevant qualifications include:
• Significant practical experience in at least one of the following mobile development tracks:
• Cross-platform development: TypeScript or JavaScript with React Native, or Dart with Flutter.
• iOS development: Swift with SwiftUI or UIKit.
• Android development: Kotlin with Jetpack Compose or the Android View system.
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, state management, asynchronous programming, and application lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to debug complex mobile applications, identify root causes, resolve challenging defects, and deliver effective performance improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design sophisticated coding challenges that reflect realistic engineering scenarios.
• Ability to create reproducible environments, develop reliable automated tests or verifiers, and distinguish robust solutions from incomplete or hard-coded implementations.
• Capacity to produce clear, technically sound reference solutions and work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability to meet minimum weekly task submission requirements.
Benefits:
• Compensation: USD 50–100 per hour as indicated in the listing; actual compensation is output-based, with payment per task that meets project specifications.
• Remote work: Work remotely, with flexibility to organize your workflow.
• Part-time commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week.
• Flexible work approach: Complete tasks using your preferred repositories and established engineering workflow, subject to project requirements.
• Technical impact: Apply your expertise to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems.
• Specialized engineering work: Focus on challenging mobile development problems across cross-platform, iOS, or Android technologies.
• Clear onboarding expectations: Minimum weekly submission requirements will be communicated during onboarding.
