About this role
Accountabilities: • Develop a comprehensive understanding of lane-level transportation profitability and build dynamic pricing models aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
• Analyze how pricing changes influence buyer behavior and transportation usage across customer segments, business units, and geographic territories.
• Develop models and recommendations designed to increase transportation attach rates while maintaining targeted profitability.
• Conduct detailed analyses of transportation margins, carrier costs, seasonality, surcharges, and other pricing factors to identify opportunities for revenue and margin improvement.
• Monitor carrier and competitor pricing, market conditions, seasonal trends, and external factors to maintain competitive positioning and inform pricing strategies.
• Track key performance indicators including transportation attach rate, margins, costs per mile, and other revenue management metrics.
• Identify revenue leakage, financial risks, and emerging growth opportunities through proactive performance analysis.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests, pilots, and other experiments to evaluate new pricing structures and models.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Adapt pricing strategies and analytical approaches based on market changes, business performance, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in strategic pricing, revenue management, or a closely related analytical function, ideally within a marketplace or logistics environment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to build models, uncover insights, and support data-driven pricing decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools such as Domo, Tableau, Looker, or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of pricing analysis, profitability, customer behavior, and performance measurement.
• High level of ownership, adaptability, initiative, and bias for action, with the ability to perform effectively in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex analytical findings for cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to investigate the underlying drivers behind performance and translate findings into practical recommendations.
