QA Automation & Manual Engineer, Contract

Accountabilities: • Automation Architecture: Design and implement scalable, multi-platform automation frameworks that can be adopted across complex digital projects.

• Manual & Automated Testing: Perform and oversee both manual and automated quality assurance activities to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.

• Performance Testing: Lead performance and load-testing strategies using JMeter or similar enterprise-grade tools, identifying potential bottlenecks and quality risks.

• Test Infrastructure: Partner with DevOps teams to optimize testing infrastructure, environments, and processes that support efficient quality engineering.

• Quality Standards: Define and maintain quality standards, including clear Definitions of Ready and Done for large-scale transformations and delivery initiatives.

• Technical Oversight: Provide senior-level QA guidance across multiple client accounts, helping teams address technical quality challenges and improve testing practices.

• Emerging Technology: Evaluate and adopt emerging approaches, including AI-driven testing tools, to improve automation efficiency and keep QA practices current.

• Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members while helping establish consistent engineering and testing practices.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify quality gaps proactively, solve complex testing challenges, and help prevent defects and risks from reaching later stages of delivery.

Requirements

• QA Experience: 4–8 years of professional experience spanning both manual testing and QA automation.

• Automation Tools: Strong proficiency with automation and testing tools such as Cypress, JMeter, and Postman.

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Python, SQL/databases, and Jira.

• Quality Engineering: Expert-level understanding of test automation architecture and design patterns, with extensive experience in performance, security, and accessibility testing.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence technical teams and quality engineering practices.

• Problem Solving: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality risks.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Fast-Paced Environments: Experience managing tasks and priorities effectively in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.

• Remote Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within distributed teams.

• Contract Eligibility: Must be able to work on a W2 contract basis; 1099 arrangements and staffing-agency arrangements are not supported for this opportunity.

Benefits

• Contract Duration: Three-month contract.
