About this role
Accountabilities • Develop and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies across a diverse portfolio of digital content and experiences.
• Identify high-value audience opportunities using search behavior, competitive intelligence, content-performance data, and emerging discovery trends.
• Translate organic-growth opportunities into actionable recommendations for new content, content updates, structured information, and digital experiences.
• Recommend and help prioritize content investments based on audience potential, business value, competitive opportunity, and expected impact.
• Monitor changes in search engines, AI-powered search, and emerging discovery platforms and recommend appropriate strategic responses.
• Build systematic approaches to content optimization, updating, expansion, consolidation, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Editorial teams to improve content performance while maintaining quality, credibility, and usefulness.
• Develop briefs, standards, tools, and templates that make organic-growth practices easier to adopt consistently at scale.
• Identify underperforming and high-potential content and recommend appropriate optimization, consolidation, or expansion strategies.
• Support experimentation with content formats, page structures, internal linking, recirculation, and other organic-growth tactics.
• Partner with Product and Technology teams to strengthen the technical foundations supporting organic and AI-driven discovery.
• Identify opportunities to use structured data, taxonomy, metadata, and modular content to improve machine readability and discoverability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools related to SEO, AEO, GEO, competitive intelligence, and content optimization.
• Establish and monitor KPIs covering organic visibility, traffic, engagement, and content performance.
• Work with Analytics to connect discovery performance with repeat usage, known-user acquisition, revenue, and other business outcomes.
• Develop clear performance insights, testing plans, and strategic recommendations for Editorial and business leaders.
• Build scalable processes and operating rhythms for identifying, prioritizing, testing, and executing organic-growth opportunities.
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, audience development, digital publishing, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience growing audiences through organic search, content optimization, and effective discovery strategies.
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO, content SEO, AEO, GEO, structured data, and emerging AI-driven discovery.
• Experience using analytics, competitive intelligence, keyword research, search behavior, and content-performance data to identify and prioritize opportunities.
• Ability to translate complex data and rapidly changing discovery trends into clear, practical recommendations for content and product teams.
• Experience developing scalable optimization processes, standards, tools, templates, or operating frameworks.
• Strong understanding of content performance, lifecycle management, discoverability, and audience engagement.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Editorial, Product, Technology, Analytics, and Revenue teams.
• Strong communication, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable working hands-on with data, content, and optimization initiatives.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated content, or another high-trust information environment is preferred.
