• AI proficiency: Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude and Cursor in practical design or development workflows, with the ability to assess their strengths, limitations, and outputs critically.

• Technical understanding: Comfort working with technical systems, understanding how software components interact, evaluating implementation trade-offs, and building functional prototypes.

• Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, outcome-driven product design across multiple user journeys, supported by strong visual design and UI execution.

• Design tools: Proficiency in Figma and confidence working with component libraries and reusable design patterns.

• Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions, incorporate feedback, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Customer empathy and problem-solving: Strong curiosity, analytical thinking, and a user-centered mindset, combined with the ability to connect customer needs to business objectives.

• Work authorization: Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization.

Benefits

• Competitive compensation: Annual salary range of USD $140,000–$190,000 for US-based candidates.
