Business Analyst - Health Insurance

Accountabilities • Partner with clients and technical teams to identify business challenges, clarify objectives, and define appropriate analytical and technology solutions.

• Gather business requirements through workshops, interviews, working sessions, and other discovery techniques.

• Analyze and document complex business requirements, processes, workflows, data, and system functionality.

• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, and actionable development specifications.

• Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications.

• Recommend improvements that enhance business activities, operational processes, and system capabilities.

• Develop detailed test scenarios and support testing activities to ensure client requirements are accurately reflected in delivered solutions.

• Monitor and support business application testing, including QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Support defect analysis, change management, maintenance activities, and release processes.

• Work within Agile and Scrum delivery environments, helping prioritize requirements into epics, sprints, and actionable work items.

• Assist with project planning and provide estimates for business analysis and related project activities.

• Maintain process, procedural, system functionality, data integration, and workflow documentation.

• Develop a working understanding of technical development cycles for web portals and mobile applications.

• Surface actionable insights from business processes and related data while applying sound judgment to recommendations and decisions.

• Coordinate or monitor the work of other Business Analysts when required.

• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical resources, QA teams, and other project participants throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or another relevant discipline.

• Previous professional experience in the health insurance industry is required .

• Insurtech experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of business analysis principles, including requirements definition, process analysis, translating business needs into technical solutions, and Agile prioritization.

• Strong skills in requirements gathering, facilitation, process documentation, stakeholder communication, and UAT.

• Mandatory experience working in an Agile and/or Scrum environment.

• Ability to create clear documentation covering processes, system functionality, data integrations, and workflows.

• Strong understanding of how business requirements translate into application and system changes.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to understand complex systems and data.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, technical teams, QA professionals, and other stakeholders.

• Health insurance-related certification from organizations such as INS, LOMA, or III is an advantage.

• Technical writing experience is a plus.

• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, international environment.
