About this role

Accountabilities • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, indirect tax, and other applicable returns across multiple jurisdictions.

• Review tax filings and coordinate tax audits, reviews, and communications with tax authorities and external tax specialists.

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including US GAAP.

• Manage transfer pricing policies, documentation, and compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.

• Identify tax risks associated with business operations and work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Monitor changes in domestic and international tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant developments and implications to senior leadership.

• Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Advise stakeholders on tax considerations related to international expansion, cross-border transactions, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate activities.

• Monitor the organization’s tax positions to support compliance and reduce exposure to audits, penalties, and other regulatory risks.

• Serve as a key point of contact for tax-related questions from Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, and other business functions.

• Partner with Finance and Operations to improve tax efficiency and align tax activities with broader business objectives.

• Oversee external tax consultants and advisors, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with organizational requirements.

• Promote tax compliance and awareness across the organization through guidance, training, and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or an advanced degree is preferred.

• At least 5 years of professional tax experience, including exposure to international tax matters and multi-jurisdictional compliance.

• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, indirect taxes, and applicable federal, state, local, and international tax requirements.

• Experience with transfer pricing regulations and preparation of transfer pricing documentation.

• Understanding of international tax treaties and their implications for business operations and cross-border activity.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.

• Experience using financial and reporting systems such as NetSuite and Power BI.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage complex tax matters accurately.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and participating in meetings across global time zones within reasonable limits.

• Growth-oriented mindset, adaptability, and willingness to identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Multilingual capabilities are an advantage when working across international jurisdictions.
