About this role

Accountabilities: • Identify target prospects based on underwriting appetite and engage the appropriate agents and brokers to pursue new opportunities.

• Develop, manage, and strengthen agency and broker relationships that support growth and retention strategies.

• Monitor agent and broker activities and coordinate with internal support teams on agency appointments, contracts, and terminations.

• Provide brokers with relevant product, service, and organizational updates while leveraging agency incentive programs, co-op initiatives, education, and seminars to improve sales performance and relationships.

• Maximize participation in relevant industry events to support business development and performance objectives.

• Interpret agency production and profitability data to support strategic and operational management of agency-generated revenue.

• Maintain accurate records of agency interactions, competitor information, market intelligence, and agency issues within reporting systems.

• Address agent and broker concerns by coordinating appropriate resolutions and escalating issues when necessary.

• Contribute to business development budgets and incentive programs, including initiatives designed to optimize distribution strategies across assigned states.

• Monitor sales and profitability on a monthly basis and collaborate with business development leadership to achieve strategy and revenue targets.

• Contribute to strategic planning and implement agency distribution initiatives designed to drive growth and retention.

• Analyze market conditions and business models to anticipate market shifts and support resource planning.

• Support evaluations of new and existing states for potential market growth and expansion.

• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, training standards, and professional credentials.

• Support departmental and enterprise initiatives, identify process improvements, and provide leadership with regular updates on projects, deliverables, and outcomes.

• Adapt to evolving organizational priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 8–10 years of experience in insurance sales, agency relations, and agency management.

• Active Property & Casualty producer license.

• CPCU, RPLU, or a comparable insurance designation is preferred.

• Strong understanding of insurance distribution, agency relationships, sales performance, and broker management.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with agents, brokers, and other external stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret production, profitability, market, and competitive data.

• Business and financial acumen with the ability to monitor sales performance, profitability, budgets, and incentive programs.

• Strategic planning skills and the ability to identify market opportunities, anticipate changes, and support growth initiatives.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholder relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining accountability for individual objectives.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development, regulatory compliance, and maintaining required industry knowledge and credentials.

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.
