Actuarial Analyst

Accountabilities: • Analyze and forecast financial data to provide accurate and timely information supporting strategic and operational decisions.

• Maintain provider revenue and expense projection models and the tools that support the Medicare actuarial forecasting process.

• Integrate value-based provider impacts into financial and bid forecasts.

• Manage analytical tools associated with provider impacts and contribute to effective risk modeling practices.

• Establish and maintain relevant metrics, perform data analysis, and support business intelligence activities.

• Develop and execute data processes and controls to maintain data integrity throughout the flow of information.

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements, investigate issues, and identify appropriate solutions.

• Troubleshoot data problems, perform root cause analyses, and develop cost-effective resolutions for anomalies.

• Interpret department, segment, and organizational strategies and understand their connections to related business areas.

• Independently determine appropriate work methods in situations that may involve ambiguity while following established guidelines and procedures.

• Contribute to continuous improvements in actuarial analytics, forecasting tools, methodologies, and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Successful completion of at least 3 actuarial exams.

• Strong ability to communicate analytical ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.

• Strong technical skills with SQL, VBA, and Microsoft Excel preferred.

• Experience working with Medicare is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to learn new analytical tools, technologies, and methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.

• Annual base salary range of $80,900–$110,300 USD , with individual compensation varying based on factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, education, and certifications.
