• Create and update rack elevation drawings, cable routing plans, power distribution layouts, and space allocation documentation.

• Conduct infrastructure assessments to evaluate existing data center environments and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.

• Use AutoCAD and other relevant design tools to produce accurate technical drawings, layouts, and infrastructure documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and implementation teams to coordinate design requirements and support infrastructure deployment activities.

• Identify and troubleshoot design conflicts, infrastructure constraints, and technical inconsistencies, recommending practical solutions to support project objectives.

• Ensure that all design deliverables comply with applicable company guidelines, engineering specifications, and industry standards.

• Manage multiple concurrent assignments independently, prioritizing activities and maintaining progress against project schedules, milestones, and delivery deadlines.

• Contribute to design optimization initiatives, process improvements, and the development of technical standards and documentation practices.

• Review basic design deliverables prepared by junior engineers, provide constructive feedback, and support knowledge sharing and technical development within the team.

• Maintain clear records of design changes, technical decisions, project requirements, and implementation considerations to ensure consistency and traceability.

• Support continuous improvement across data center design workflows by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, coordination, and delivery efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in data center design, data center infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure, or a related engineering environment.

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components, data hall design principles, rack layouts, power planning, space utilization, and cable routing.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to develop, interpret, and maintain technical drawings and infrastructure design documentation.

• Familiarity with data center engineering standards, infrastructure specifications, and best practices for designing reliable, scalable, and efficient environments.

• Ability to perform infrastructure assessments, identify design constraints, resolve technical conflicts, and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established milestones with limited supervision.

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail when reviewing layouts, validating technical requirements, and maintaining design accuracy.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and implementation teams.

• Ability to work independently on moderately complex design projects while contributing effectively to shared team objectives.

• A proactive approach to continuous improvement, technical documentation, process optimization, and adherence to engineering standards.

• Willingness to review design work, share technical knowledge, and support the development of junior team members.

• Relevant technical education or engineering qualifications in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related discipline would be beneficial.

Benefits:
