About this role

Accountabilities: • Own and evolve the public REST API: Lead API design and improve developer ergonomics, versioning, error handling, and rate-limiting behavior.

• Build and maintain SDKs: Develop and support client SDKs in TypeScript and Python, and lead the launch of upcoming SDKs.

• Develop agent-focused products: Ship the Agent SDK and expand it to support multi-step, agentic workloads built on the platform.

• Improve developer documentation: Treat documentation, examples, and starter repositories as core products, ensuring they provide effective entry points for developers.

• Optimize for AI coding agents: Make APIs, SDKs, documentation, and other developer-facing tools accessible and effective for AI coding agents.

• Measure developer experience: Instrument and evaluate the resources developers and AI agents encounter first, using insights to improve onboarding and adoption.

• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Developer Relations, Product, and Platform teams to identify ecosystem gaps and deliver solutions from discovery through launch.

• Drive product improvements independently: Identify opportunities to improve developer tooling and execute initiatives with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements:

• Professional experience: At least five years of experience building external-facing developer products, such as APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms used by engineers.

• API and SDK design: Strong design instincts and demonstrated experience shipping libraries that developers integrate into their applications.

• TypeScript expertise: Strong TypeScript skills; experience with Python SDKs is also relevant to the role.

• AI-oriented mindset: Comfortable using AI in your own workflow and interested in the potential of agentic systems.

• Ownership and initiative: High-agency approach, with a bias toward action and the ability to identify and address ecosystem needs without waiting for detailed instructions.

• Adaptability: Comfortable owning a product area in a small company where team responsibilities and boundaries may be fluid.

• Written communication: Strong writing skills, including the ability to produce clear documentation, changelogs, and SDK reference material.

• Pragmatic engineering judgment: Ability to balance delivery speed, maintainability, and simplicity.

Nice to have:

• Experience working at developer-focused companies.

• Hands-on experience designing or maintaining agent SDKs or other agentic developer tools.

• Familiarity with the platform as a user.

• Contributions to open-source projects.

• Personal or professional projects in the AI tooling ecosystem.

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification, provided they are excited about the opportunity.

Benefits:

• Annual compensation: USD $215,000–$285,000.

• Equity: Equity offered as part of the compensation package.

• Remote work: Fully remote position based in the United States.

• Employment type: Full-time role.

• Engineering ownership: Opportunity to shape developer products and influence platform direction.

• Growth and impact: Work on AI infrastructure and tools used by developers building with language models.

About this listing

Published on Lever under the board identifier Jobgether, which is the name the employer’s own job board carries. RoleSprint has not verified the company’s registered or trading name, so it is shown exactly as published rather than tidied up.

RoleSprint is not the employer and not a recruiter. Applications are made on the employer’s own site and never reach us; what RoleSprint does is help you decide whether a role is worth your time and prepare for it if it is.

Published 5 November 2026, last checked yesterday. A posting stops being advertised here 90 days after the employer published it, and one the employer takes down is marked closed rather than quietly removed.
