About this role

Accountabilities • Own the technical SEO and AEO optimization of custom travel websites throughout the build and launch process.

• Partner with Web Specialists to identify the pages and content structures required to support search visibility and user needs.

• Ensure technical SEO fundamentals are implemented correctly, including structured data, schema markup, crawlability, page speed, and related best practices.

• Perform final SEO and AEO quality assurance checks before websites go live.

• Support the Websites Team with launch-readiness reviews and identify technical or content issues that could affect discoverability.

• Guide clients through post-launch handoffs and help them understand how to manage their websites, SEO, and AEO effectively over time.

• Create clear, client-facing documentation and knowledge-center resources covering common SEO/AEO questions and website optimization practices.

• Conduct keyword research and provide practical recommendations to improve website copy and content structure.

• Monitor how websites and brands appear in AI-generated answers, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar platforms.

• Use emerging search and AI-visibility trends to improve website-building standards and optimization practices.

• Collaborate daily with SEO specialists and Web Specialists, primarily designers, to ensure SEO and AEO requirements are implemented effectively.

• Provide occasional SEO/AEO guidance to Account Managers and Customer Support teams.

• Stay current with changes in SEO, AEO, GEO, AI search, and tourism-industry discovery trends.

• Proactively identify opportunities and take ownership of available projects rather than relying solely on predefined task lists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in SEO and/or AEO.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.

• Strong understanding of technical SEO, structured data, and schema markup, including FAQ, LocalBusiness, Event, and similar schema types.

• Experience working with content management systems; familiarity with Duda is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of current SEO, AEO, and GEO practices, with the ability to distinguish effective modern approaches from outdated tactics.

• Experience with website launches and technical implementation is preferred, including familiarity with DNS and domain record changes.

• Strong keyword research and content optimization skills.

• Ability to communicate SEO and AEO recommendations clearly to designers, web specialists, clients, and other non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent client communication skills and the ability to turn technical recommendations into practical guidance.

• Fluent business English, with the ability to write clearly for busy travel professionals and business users.

• Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity, research, planning, and reliability while maintaining ownership of the quality of final deliverables.

• Strong organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapting to changes in search and AI technology.

• Experience working with travel-industry clients is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AI-visibility or citation-tracking tools is a plus.

• Fluent business Spanish is an advantage.
