About this role
Accountabilities: • Conduct primary and secondary customer and market research to understand customer needs, purchasing criteria, pain points, behaviors, and market trends.
• Collect, analyze, and translate customer feedback into actionable recommendations for product development, messaging, and go-to-market improvements.
• Use personas, customer journey mapping, win/loss analysis, competitive research, and other methods to generate meaningful customer and market insights.
• Identify business opportunities, clarify root problems, and prioritize potential solutions in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build business cases, roadmaps, and validation pilots based on research and collaborative workshops, then design and execute tests to validate opportunities.
• Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences and supports customer and business goals.
• Create and maintain messaging frameworks that guide marketing, sales, business development, and customer-facing teams.
• Lead go-to-market strategies and define success criteria for new product launches, product updates, and growth initiatives.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure launch readiness and successful product adoption.
• Equip go-to-market teams with the knowledge, processes, messaging, and collateral needed to attract customers and increase product adoption.
• Track launch and product performance using qualitative and quantitative data, identifying opportunities to optimize strategies and improve results.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects, balancing stakeholder priorities while maintaining clear communication, documentation, and accountability.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring progress remains visible and teams stay aligned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field required; an MBA or Master’s degree in marketing or business is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant product marketing experience and 7+ years of total professional experience.
• Strong expertise in product marketing fundamentals, including customer insights, market research, product positioning and messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
• Experience working within consumer technology organizations or two-sided marketplace environments.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to turn qualitative and quantitative information into actionable business strategies.
• Experience with hypothesis-based, test-and-learn approaches to growth is a plus.
• Experience with pricing and monetization strategies is a plus.
• Product or customer marketing certifications are a plus.
• Strong customer empathy and curiosity combined with a data-driven mindset and creative approach to problem-solving.
• Strategic thinker with a logical, evidence-based approach to decision-making and prioritization.
• High ownership mentality and the ability to independently drive initiatives from concept through execution.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate effectively with diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build alignment across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive, execution-oriented approach.
