About this role

Accountabilities • Develop and execute channel strategies for distributors and resellers across the assigned North American territory.

• Identify, prospect, recruit, and engage new channel partners while strengthening existing reseller and distributor relationships.

• Build and maintain a healthy partner pipeline through consistent prospecting, recurring engagement, and structured follow-up.

• Own assigned annual growth targets and develop initiatives designed to deliver sustainable revenue growth through the channel.

• Create mutually beneficial go-to-market strategies, commercial plans, and commitments with partners.

• Guide new partners through onboarding, enablement, and ongoing development.

• Organize and deliver sales and pre-sales training sessions to reseller and distributor partners.

• Increase awareness and adoption of open-source, Linux, cloud, virtualization, and related technical solutions within the partner ecosystem.

• Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for priority partners, ensuring strong engagement and partner satisfaction.

• Participate in customer discovery conversations and presentations when appropriate, supporting partners and direct customer opportunities.

• Represent the organization at external events, industry activities, and partner engagements.

• Take ownership of initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background, preferably in technology or a related field.

• Professional experience in software, technology, or related sales within the North American market.

• Demonstrated experience working with reseller, distributor, VAR, or other channel partner ecosystems.

• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets through prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and closing.

• Understanding of open-source technologies, Linux, and Ubuntu, with the ability to communicate the value of technical solutions to partners and customers.

• Strong business-development and prospecting skills, with the confidence to identify and pursue new opportunities.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and disciplined follow-up, with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships and sales opportunities effectively.

• Mature approach to building long-term commercial relationships and creating mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Self-motivated and capable of working productively within a globally distributed team with a high degree of autonomy.

• Comfortable taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, and owning projects in an entrepreneurial or startup-style environment.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness and ability to represent the organization at external events and travel internationally when required.

• Previous startup experience is an advantage.
