• Design, implement, and troubleshoot REST API integrations and connections with third-party systems to support customer migrations and ongoing technical requirements.

• Communicate directly with customers to clarify technical requirements, investigate reported issues, explain solutions, and coordinate implementation activities.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to backend engineers, supporting sound engineering decisions, effective collaboration, and high-quality delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate technical priorities, resolve dependencies, and ensure successful customer outcomes.

• Continuously improve migration processes, automation, documentation, and internal tooling to make onboarding more consistent, reliable, and scalable.

• Apply AI-powered development tools to improve coding productivity, debugging, and engineering workflows while maintaining high standards of code quality and reliability.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, providing engineering guidance to development teams and collaborating directly with customers or other stakeholders.

• Strong practical experience with PostgreSQL, including complex SQL queries, database structures, schema changes, and migration processes.

• Demonstrated experience designing and executing data migrations, developing transformation scripts, and validating data accuracy and integrity across systems.

• Experience working with diverse data sources, file formats, and database models, including both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and third-party integrations, with the ability to diagnose and resolve integration issues.

• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar codebases, analyze complex data problems, and identify root causes systematically.

• Hands-on experience using Git, Docker, and Bash in everyday development workflows.

• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools, particularly Claude Code or comparable coding agents, and the ability to use them effectively in engineering tasks.

• Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear explanations, understand business needs, and coordinate solutions with non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ownership, attention to detail, and persistence in driving technical challenges through to resolution.

• Ability to balance hands-on development, technical leadership, customer communication, and multiple priorities in a remote environment.

• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2+) or higher, with confident spoken communication skills for customer interactions and collaboration with international teams.

• Availability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (EST) business hours, with occasional flexibility outside standard working hours when required.
