Junior Java Developer

Accountabilities: • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot 3 .

• Contribute to application development using JavaScript and TypeScript 4+ .

• Build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs .

• Apply established software engineering principles and development practices to produce maintainable and reliable code.

• Contribute to automated testing activities to help ensure software quality and reliability.

• Investigate and resolve technical problems with an assertive, structured, and systemic approach.

• Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client expectations.

• Consider the broader business impact of technical decisions when analysing and solving problems.

• Use Git and established development workflows to manage and collaborate on source code.

• Work with relational and/or non-relational databases as part of application development.

• Contribute to continuous improvements in development practices, code quality, and technical solutions.

• Where applicable, support frontend development initiatives and collaborate across the application stack.

Requirements:

• Professional experience developing applications with Java , including Spring Boot 3 .

• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript 4+ .

• Knowledge of software engineering principles including Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID, KISS, DRY, and YAGNI .

• Practical knowledge of automated testing .

• Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development.

• Knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases .

• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs .

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach technical challenges from a broader systems perspective.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams and other stakeholders.

• Focus on code quality, maintainability, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.

• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously develop technical skills.

• Knowledge or experience in frontend development is considered an advantage.

• Candidates must be based in Brazil .

• Candidates residing in the Campinas metropolitan area should be prepared to attend the local office according to the applicable office attendance policy.
