About the Role As an Account Executive dedicated to New Business across Banking & Hedge Funds, you will be a vital catalyst in expanding Kpler’s market footprint across North America's premier financial institutions. In this newly created hunting role, you will map unexplored territories and build direct relationships with commodities trading desks, macro funds, and quantitative research teams. By connecting sophisticated market participants with our proprietary trade intelligence and analytics, you directly enable financial leaders to uncover actionable market signals and optimize strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive 100% net-new pipeline generation by developing and executing a targeted territory plan across tier-one investment banks, hedge funds, and financial institutions in North America.
• Self-source high-value opportunities through rigorous outbound account mapping, targeted campaigns, and direct engagement with key decision-makers across institutional buying committees.
• Orchestrate the full sales cycle from initial outreach, discovery, and product demonstrations through to commercial negotiation and closing net-new accounts.
• Multi-thread target accounts by engaging portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, commodities traders, and risk officers to tailor product solutions to their workflows.
• Represent Kpler in-market at major industry events and conferences, establishing a strong personal network across the North American banking and hedge fund community.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales Engineering, Market Analysts, and Customer Success to refine win themes, align messaging, and ensure seamless client onboarding.
• Maintain CRM forecasting discipline , tracking pipeline stages, close dates, and next steps to consistently hit or exceed quarterly net-new bookings targets.
Experience & Background What you'll need (Must-haves)
• 6–8+ years of full-cycle, new-business sales experience within SaaS, financial market data, research analytics, or alternative data platforms.
• A proven track record as an outbound hunter, consistently self-sourcing a majority of your pipeline to achieve net-new revenue targets.
• Direct experience selling into investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, or trading desks.
• Strong consultative selling ability with demonstrated success multi-threading across complex organizations (e.g., trading, research, risk, and data science teams).
Nice-to-haves
• Pre-existing relationships with trading desks, research teams, or quantitative data science teams across North American financial institutions.
• Familiarity with commodity markets, trade-flow analytics, AIS/maritime tracking, or freight and storage data.
