Position Overview The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding existing accounts across Spain and Portugal. The role focuses on delivering sustainable revenue growth through a consultative sales approach, leveraging Extreme Networks’ end-to-end portfolio of networking, security and cloud solutions. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders, helping organizations achieve their business and digital transformation objectives. This individual will play a key role in promoting a customer-centric culture, driving market share growth, and consistently exceeding sales targets across the assigned territory. The team is composed of high-performing sales professionals who foster an entrepreneurial mindset and consistently deliver predictable revenue growth while maintaining a strong commitment to customer success.
Position Responsibilities: • Represent Extreme Networks' comprehensive portfolio of wired, wireless, cloud networking, network management and security solutions across the assigned territory.
• Drive revenue growth, market share expansion and profitability while consistently achieving and exceeding assigned quotas.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans focused on acquiring new customers and expanding strategic existing accounts.
• Utilize a consultative and solution-selling approach to identify customer business challenges and align Extreme Networks solutions to business outcomes.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive decision-makers, including CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and other senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with channel partners, distributors, system integrators and internal teams to develop and execute joint business plans.
• Maintain an accurate sales forecast and manage pipeline development through all stages of the sales cycle.
• Lead complex sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders, business units and partners.
• Work effectively with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Services and Channel teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive positioning, technology developments and market opportunities.
Requirements: • Proven success developing new business opportunities while expanding and growing existing strategic accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to close large, complex enterprise sales opportunities involving multiple decision-makers and long sales cycles.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills with proven experience engaging C-level executives.
• Experience selling complex technology solutions, including networking, cloud management, cybersecurity and subscription-based software offerings.
• Strong solution-selling, account planning and business development skills.
• Experience working successfully within a channel-driven go-to-market model.
• Strong business planning, pipeline management and forecasting experience.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Trusted business partner who demonstrates integrity, accountability and high professional standards.
• Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and relevant technology markets.
• Proven and verifiable track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and achieving top sales performance recognition, including President's Club or similar achievement programs.
• Strong understanding of the Extreme Networks value proposition and the ability to articulate business and technical benefits to customers and partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of successful enterprise technology sales experience within the networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure and/or cloud technology sectors.
• Proven experience managing enterprise customers and channel partners across Spain and/or Portugal.
• Existing relationships with major enterprise accounts, public sector organizations, service providers and strategic channel partners across Iberia are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Iberian market, including key customers, partners and the broader technology ecosystem.
• Based in Spain, preferably Madrid, with willingness to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal as required.
• Native or near-native Spanish language proficiency required.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, partners and colleagues in Portugal. Portuguese language skills are considered a strong advantage.
OTE is on a 50/50 split and is based on qualifications and experience 120-140K.
