Senior Consultant - Wealth Management

Electric Mind | Ignite your Career Senior Consultant Strategy & Business Architecture – Wealth Management Practice About the role We're hiring a Consultant / Senior Consultant who knows how Canadian wealth management actually works, from industry economics down to the back office. You'll help banks, investment dealers and mutual fund dealers shape and deliver change across their wealth businesses, from strategy through to implementation. The right person moves easily between two conversations. One is with executives about strategy, operating models and the vendor landscape. The other is with operations teams about how a trade settles, how a transfer moves, or why a statement is wrong.

What You Will Do • Support strategy engagements: current-state assessments, target-state and operating model definition, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.

• Carry that work into delivery on transformation programs: platform replacements, back-office conversions, operating model changes and digital advice or self-directed launches.

• Map current-state and future-state processes across the wealth value chain: account opening and KYC, trading and order routing, settlement and custody, transfers, corporate actions, fees and billing, client reporting and tax slips.

• Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process flows and data mappings that delivery teams can build from.

• Support vendor and platform assessments and selections across recordkeeping, back-office and advisor technology.

• Plan and support data migrations and conversions, including reconciliation, cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.

• Keep regulatory requirements in view across the work, including CIRO rules, client-focused reforms and account transfer standards.

• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, from operations leads to executive sponsors, and communicate progress, risks and recommendations clearly.

• Contribute to Electric Mind's wealth practice through thought leadership, reusable assets and support on proposals.

What You Will Bring – Wealth Management Experience • 6+ years in wealth management, in consulting, industry or both.

• Hands-on experience in one or more areas of wealth operations: mutual fund dealer or manufacturer operations, full-service brokerage, discount or self-directed brokerage, or bank-owned wealth businesses.

• A working understanding of how the industry fits together: the roles of manufacturers, dealers, advisors, custodians and service providers, and how money, orders and data flow between them.

• Experience on at least one strategy or transformation engagement, such as a current-state assessment, target-state design, business case, roadmap, platform implementation or back-office conversion.

• Familiarity with the Canadian wealth ecosystem, including industry infrastructure such as FundSERV and CDS and the main types of back-office and recordkeeping providers.

• Strong business analysis skills: process mapping, requirements, and working with data.

• Clear writing and presentation skills, and comfort in front of both executives and operations teams.

• A post-secondary degree or equivalent experience. Industry courses such as the CSC or IFC are an asset.

Nice to Have • Hands-on experience with one or more major back-office functions or recordkeeping platforms.

• Experience on a large data migration or dealer conversion from start to cutover.

• Exposure to wealth data models, integrations or APIs.

• Knowledge of registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, RESP, FHSA) and their operational rules.

• Agile delivery experience, or a certification such as CBAP, PMP or Scrum.

• Ability to travel (US and Canada)

• Bilingual in English and French.
