We are currently looking for a Social Media Supervisor to join our team, where you’ll help lead social strategy for a major global video game property. The Supervisor will manage a team of Social Media Managers while serving as a key strategic partner to the client. This person will help shape the brand’s social presence, voice, content strategy, and community approach, translating larger marketing and business priorities into work that feels native to gaming audiences and culture. We’re looking for someone with extensive experience leading social media strategies and teams, managing client relationships, and developing distinctive brand voices. A strong affinity for video games and gaming culture is essential, with previous experience working on gaming, entertainment, or fandom-driven brands strongly preferred. Successful candidates should have 4-5 years of experience in social media, preferably within an agency environment.
Your Impact • Lead and communicate client social media strategy, brand voice and tone, content strategy, and community management
• Build meaningful relationships with day-to-day clients, partnering with them to understand business objectives, marketing priorities, audiences, and expectations
• Manage and mentor a team of Social Media Managers, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the team is set up for success
• Help translate broader campaign moments, announcements, creative assets, and marketing beats into compelling social-first storytelling
• Provide quality assurance across social content calendars, copy, publishing, and community management
• Lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of the account, including timelines, approvals, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows
• Partner closely with creative, strategy, talent, and community teams to develop ideas that feel authentic to gaming audiences
• Manage the scope to ensure that we are fulfilling our obligations to the client
• Identify proactive opportunities to build fandom, encourage conversation, and deepen audience engagement between major campaign moments
• Stay closely connected to gaming culture, platform behaviors, emerging formats, industry conversations, and the ways gaming communities interact online
• Help the team navigate fan feedback and community sentiment with an understanding of the nuance, passion, and expectations that come with established entertainment and gaming properties
Your Experience • 4–5 years of experience in social media, preferably within an agency environment
• A strong personal affinity for gaming and gaming culture is required
• Previous professional experience working with gaming, entertainment, or other highly engaged fandom communities is strongly preferred
• A general understanding of the gaming marketing ecosystem, including major announcements, trailers, launch campaigns, creators, community engagement, and ongoing social storytelling
• Familiarity with AAA gaming and the console/PC landscape, with particular interest in action, shooter, or narrative-driven titles a plus
• Strong understanding of how gaming audiences behave across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord, and other community-driven spaces
• Experience supporting brands or properties with passionate existing fanbases, with an understanding of how to engage established communities while welcoming new audiences
• Ability to develop and maintain timelines, assets, approvals, and the many moving parts of an integrated campaign
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading cross-functional campaigns and projects
• Experience leading and mentoring social media managers
• Strong client communication and relationship-management skills
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of an integrated team
Your Availability • M-F: 9am-6pm PST
