Summary of Role All Classical faculty (teachers) share the undying belief that maximizing student achievement and development is at the core of our work. Our Resident Substitute Teachers commit to our mission and drive to meet key responsibilities through:

Curriculum & Instruction Preparing and facilitating lessons in absent-teacher classrooms across subjects and grade-levels using Classical’s scripted curriculum Maintaining high behavioral expectations, sustaining established classroom systems, and executing schoolwide procedures and routines Engaging with scholars and staff across a range of grade-levels Being consistently reliable and present; communicating effectively; demonstrating flexibility and responding productively to in-the-moment changes

Qualifications An undergraduate degree from a 4-year college or university Have experience teaching at a high-performing charter school (preferred) Visible alignment to Classical’s mission and approach Exhibit excellent work ethic and organizational skills Demonstrate application of our core values: Accountability, Innovation, Professionalism, Rigor, Tenacity, Transparency, and Urgency
