About this role

CFGI is seeking a Senior Manager to lead private equity value creation initiatives, portfolio company performance improvement programs, and strategic internal initiatives.

This role will combine engagement leadership, strategic problem solving, operational execution, financial performance management, and executive stakeholder engagement. The Senior Manager will lead project teams and complex initiatives, advise senior client stakeholders, drive accountability across initiative owners, and help translate value creation strategies into measurable financial and operational outcomes.

What you might expect: Lead value creation engagements and medium-to-large programs across private equity clients and portfolio companies. Develop and implement value creation playbooks, operational improvement frameworks, and financial performance management approaches. Lead identification, prioritization, and execution of EBITDA enhancement opportunities across operations, finance, commercial, and corporate functions. Oversee initiative governance, project planning, milestone management, risk management, and performance reporting. Drive accountability across initiative owners and cross-functional business leaders. Oversee value capture tracking, financial reconciliations, benefits realization, and realized versus projected savings analyses. Lead development of business cases and financial models assessing cost reduction, margin improvement, revenue growth, and working capital opportunities. Oversee executive dashboards, scorecards, operating reviews, and board-ready analyses and presentations. Serve as a key advisor to senior stakeholders by synthesizing complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations and actions. Facilitate executive operating reviews, steering committee meetings, workshops, and leadership updates. Manage engagement delivery, including staffing, timelines, quality, risks, and client expectations. Manage and mentor Managers and Consultants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Participate in business development efforts, including proposal development, solution design, client presentations, and relationship expansion. Contribute to development of internal methodologies, playbooks, best practices, and practice-building initiatives.

What you must have: 5-8 years of experience in management consulting, value creation, transaction advisory, strategic finance, corporate strategy, business transformation, operations, operational finance, or operational improvement. Experience leading value creation, business transformation, operational improvement, strategic finance, or related consulting engagements within a consulting, professional services, corporate strategy, or private equity-backed environment.

What sets you apart: Experience leading complex engagements or value creation programs, including oversight of project execution, staffing, timelines, quality, and client deliverables. Experience identifying, sizing, and executing EBITDA enhancement opportunities involving cost reduction, margin improvement, revenue growth, working capital, or operational performance. Experience developing trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and presenting financial analyses, business cases, recommendations, and performance updates to senior leadership. Experience designing and overseeing governance, KPI reporting, initiative tracking, value capture, and benefits realization processes across multiple workstreams. Experience managing and developing project teams while contributing to business development, proposal efforts, client expansion, or practice-development initiatives.

Nice to have: Experience at an MBB firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or Big 4 firm. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Experience working directly with private equity funds and portfolio companies. Experience leading operational improvement, cost optimization, post-acquisition performance improvement, or EBITDA enhancement programs. CPA, CFA, PMP, or other relevant professional credential.

Who thrives here: Strategic operators who can connect financial performance, operational execution, and broader business objectives. Leaders who are comfortable managing complex engagements and establishing credibility with senior client stakeholders. Strong problem solvers who can move between detailed analysis and executive-level recommendations. Collaborative leaders who create accountability while mentoring and developing Managers and Consultants. Entrepreneurial professionals who enjoy client delivery, relationship development, and helping build new capabilities.
