At CESO, a CAD Coordinator supports the CAD Manager in maintaining and enforcing CAD standards, managing drawing resources, and providing technical support to design staff across a multi-discipline firm of 500+ employees. This position is primarily focused on two core areas: upholding the integrity of the company's CAD environment through standards management and file organization and serving as the primary point of contact for CAD-related helpdesk support. At CESO, a CAD Coordinator supports the CAD Manager in maintaining and enforcing CAD standards, managing drawing resources, and providing technical support to design staff across a multi-discipline firm of 500+ employees. This position is primarily focused on two core areas: upholding the integrity of the company's CAD environment through standards management and file organization and serving as the primary point of contact for CAD-related helpdesk support. This position requires technical proficiency, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to delivering consistent and reliable support to project teams across all disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities • Assist the CAD Manager in developing, maintaining, and enforcing company-wide CAD standards, drafting conventions, and production workflows.

• Manage and maintain CAD resource libraries, including templates, title blocks, CTB/STB files, linetypes, tool palettes, block libraries, and sheet sets.

• Perform routine CAD file audits and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Coordinate with project teams to enforce consistent file naming conventions, folder structures, and archiving practices.

• Support project setup activities, including sheet set creation, reference file management, and project folder configuration.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for CAD support, troubleshooting application errors, file issues, and performance problems.

• Manage and track CAD support requests through the helpdesk system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.

• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the CAD Manager or IT with clear documentation of troubleshooting steps.

• Coordinate with IT on workstation configurations, CAD software deployments, and hardware support needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a CAD production or support role within an AEC environment is required.

• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple design disciplines such as civil, structural, architectural, or MEP.

• Prior experience in a technical support or helpdesk capacity is strongly preferred.

• Autodesk Certified User (ACU) or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD or a related Autodesk product is preferred.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D are mandatory. Revit, or MicroStation knowledge is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, network file systems, and CAD-specific hardware troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar project collaboration platforms.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to technical support situations effectively.
